hey brother just a quick warning there
are going to be infinity war spoilers in
this video as soon as the next sentence
so you have been warned the snap band
fan OSes ultimate plan which if
accomplished will kill half of
everything 50/50 chosen at random yeah
random I
mean oh my God look all of the
original
Avengers randomly survived I
can mention
the snap happening during
this scene
in the first Avengers movie
and none of
these guys corn flicking
away it's
almost as if they included
this huge
cast of characters so these
original
few could remain also did you
guys know
there is this handy website
where you
can go and find out if you
survived
the snap from Thanos or if you
don't feel
like going to the website you
can just
examine yourself to see if
you're
still alive
or or
there's also these handy things
called
coins heads I live man but the
real
question for me isn't whether or
not I was
affected by the snap
no what's
more interesting to me is
whether or
not Santos was affected by
the snap
and today we find out
and before
I begin just want to remind
you guys
that inhibition to this channel

but back to stano's and his
ultimate
plan to kill half of all living
things
except plants I guess I mean
seriously
shouldn't like half the trees
have died
too because if not I feel like
Groot at
least should have been spared
his fate
come on tannaz plants have
feelings
too you know said no vegetarian
ever
regardless though that NASA's plan
seems like
it has one giant glaring flaw
in it which
is if you're killing off
half of
everyone indiscriminately aren't
you also at
risk of dying not to be fair
given his
drive and overall mission it
seems to me
that fan OHS might be
willing to
die for the cause but at the
same time I
really don't think he ever
planned on
dying on the one hand when he
describes
the beta version of it your
Doctor
Strange it makes it sound like
yeah he
could be a victim just like
anybody
else but random his passion is
fair to
rich and poor alike boy then
Doctor
Strange also asked some what he'd
do after
the snap and he says I finally
rest and
watch the Sun Rise and I'm
grateful
universe which is significant
because it
means he definitely plans to
be able to
sit and relax and watch the
Sun Rise
because he definitely plans on
still being
alive how you gonna wake up
dead I'll
say this for Thanos despite
his
genocidal plot he's not someone who
typically
does a lot of needless killing
like here
when he just disarms Drax and
mantis and
leaves quill alive when he
easily
could have killed them everything
he does is
motivated by this one goal
and he
actually does seem to care about
people I
mean he cares about them in the
worst way
ever but that is the place
he's coming
from
we know
he's super sad about killing
Gamora and
he even seems mildly upset
when he
finds out that Emma NEMA is dead
they extracts
a heavy toll
you can't
be bro a heavy toll you're
about to
kill trillions of people but
that is
exactly my point to Thanos
killing
those trillions of people is
nothing
compared to the good it will do
for the
universe but losing super evil
Squidward
is still a big deal for him
because he
genuinely cared about him by
the way
let's take a moment to
appreciate
that Tony Stark here does not
have any
kids and definitely watch his
spongebob
these get lost on the other
hand though
while his philosophy makes
it okay to
indiscriminately kill half of
a
population he is also super okay with
killing way
more than that in pursuit of
this goal
like when he offered Loki the
entire
planet of Earth to rule over and
kill as
many people as he pleased in
exchange
for the tesseract or when he
offered to
destroy the entire planet in
sand or in
exchange for the Power Stone
side note
by the way fairness when you
have super
devout and super capable
followers
like these well-dressed folks
here uh why
are you having people like
Ronan run
errands for you the point is
whatever
golden philosophy he tells
himself he
believes the real evil of
Thanos
comes from him also than
believing
that he is justified in doing
whatever he
wants in pursuit of that
goal so
when the time comes to finally
give the
big snap there is no doubt in
my mind
that Thanos believes he is going
to survive
no problem but then something
unexpected
happens he visits that weird
water
archway world and talks to Gamora
who we
already know to be dead
so did
Thanos actually survive the snap
because if
he's wearing a mora is and we
know Gamora
is dead then did Thanos die
too
Jill just
math well it's possible that
as the
snapper some of different rules
applied to
him for example the deal he
makes with
dr. strange do spare Tony's
life and
the comments he makes about
evany Maul
make it sound like he had
some amount
of control about who would
live like
he would have saved
evany had
he still been alive and he's
able to
spare Tony because of the
bargain he
makes with strange how much
does dr.
Strangelove a good bargain by
the way
like you just know he has a
whole
drawer full of coupons at the
sanctum
sanctorum Wong it's Sunday get
up the
scissors it's time to
coupons the
back to Thanos as far as I'm
concerned
was he affected by the snap
absolutely
I think he was the very first
victim of
the snap and that whatever
happened to
Gamora to get her to end up
here is
also what is happening to him
because he
also went up there so the
real
questions then become where is
their and
how did he come back and I
think both
questions can be answered by
taking a
closer look at the soul stone
and what it
does acquiring the soul
stone is
perhaps the trickiest of all
for Thanos
because it involves
sacrificing
that which you love so
through
soul and we know how it goes he
sacrifices
Gamora
and get the
stone but I think there's a
few other
things worth taking note of
here
first of
all is how we already know
Souls act
in the Marvel Universe our
first
lesson on this actually comes a
few movies
earlier in Doctor Strange
when the
ancient one pushes his astral
form out of
his body and then it
describes
the astral plane a place where
the soul
exists apart from the body so
yeah that
is literally dr. Strange's
soul
floating around here in fighting
this dude
through the hospital and yes I
know what
you're thinking that J that
was Doctor
Strange which is a
psychedelic
trip but just because the
ancient one
call of that his soul
doesn't
necessarily mean it's the same
kind of
soul the Infinity stone is
referring
to but that is where you would
be wrong
it's an extremely easy thing to
miss in
infinity war and I think most
people even
finish watching the movie
thinking
Thanos never even used the soul
stone other
than for the snap itself but
he actually
does use it very briefly
while
fighting Doctor Strange he uses it
right here
in conjunction with the Power
Stone to
destroy all of the doubles of
Doctor
Strange and then wait for it to
briefly
blast his astral form out of his
body ah man
this gives us such an
enormous
Lee better understanding of the
soul stone
and how it might work and how
Thanos is
able to visit Gamora it
suggests
that even though her soul might
have left
the Material Plane it is still
safe in the
astral plane now gamora's
body does
look pretty
but
remember what red skull says he says
a soul for
a soul not a life for a soul
which kind
of makes me think that if her
soul was
returned to her body somehow
that yeah
maybe she would just be
restored
she'd be okay and believe it or
not
Santa's
visiting Gamora in this way
isn't even
the first time we've seen
another
character visit a different dead
character
sold in the astral plane the
same thing
happens in black panther went
to Chawla
and killed monger drink the
heart-shaped
herb and are sent to the
astral
plane to visit their dead
father's
side Newton this isn't really
related to
Thanos but this could mean
that
despite her astral form
disappearing
when her body died we could
still see
the ancient one on the astral
plane if we
ever got a Doctor Strange
sequel but
back to Thanos and his visit
to the
astral plane and what that could
mean for
Avengers four for me I think it
gives a
place for the dead characters to
have gone
and while I hate using non in
universe
examples the fact is we know
they're
making a sequel to spider-man
into
guardians so the characters
definitely
aren't dead
and given
that OSes endgame and the
reasoning
behind it which is that there
was too
many mouths and not enough to go
around it
would have to be a place where
resource
management isn't really an
issue and
the astral plane certainly
seems like
it would fit that bill Plus
look at
this shot of Thanos immediately
after he
gets the soul stone it is very
craftily
shot to make it look like he's
sitting in
a pool of water which well he
is but he
also has a certain amount of
transparent
miss to him as if maybe he
was just coming
back from the astral
plane and
is only just now becoming
solid again
like look at his hand right
here
beneath the water
there is no
orange glow and yet when he
pulls it
out of the water there's a very
obvious
orange glow coming from the
stone even
through his clenched fist
it's as if
the stone itself just
materialized
from another dimension as
well plus
if everyone is in another
place like
the astral plane all together
then all of
a sudden who got sent there
starts to
feel a lot less random like
T'Challa
and Doctor Strange have both
already
been there
and most of
the Guardians got sent there
but
Gomorrah is already there so maybe
they could
be searching for her even
Starla
which we know as crazy powers
that can
affect or even destroy the
stones it's
as if all of the characters
are where
they need to be it's like
there's a
certain wisdom about that
might say
it is a certain wisdom in any
case then
my overall point is that yes
Thanos was
affected by the snap it did
kill him he
was the first victim he was
sent to the
astral plane but was brought
back
because of the soul stone I have a
question
for you and everyone else is
what do you
think did famous
accidentally
kill himself is everyone
else
